Not My Finest Hour but it’s Better Than My Worst One.

It was a good day.   I still needed to nap and still fought with the aches, but my temp has been close to normal and I’m feeling so much better.  I’m a bit nauseous this evening, following dinner… but that was due to my own poor choices.  (pizza was not a good idea, so soon.)   There’s hope.  I was beginning to think that I’d always be like this.

The apartment manager and maintenance guy stopped by this AM to look at the bathroom.   Of course, I hadn’t bathed in days and hadn’t yet brushed my teeth.   Yes…  I’m sure I left quite an impression- impacting senses of smell as well as sight!   The good news is that they’re going fix the walls, sink and floor in late March, while we are out of state for spring break.   They even mentioned getting us new fixtures for the shower as that is apparently the original shower head.   Yaay!    They also mentioned that the broken floor tiles likely contain asbestos(which I have been removing from time to time as they fall apart).  They’re original to the apartment, too.   THAT’s nice to know!

I also scored a cool vacuum cleaner today!   I always borrow my parent’s Destiny vacuum cleaner as mine is somewhat weak and asthmatic.  Well, today my father told me just to keep it.   He finally went out and purchased a Dyson Animal - the KING of all vacuum cleaners so the no longer need the Destiny!   I am thrilled with my new(to me) vacuum cleaner.  It needs a new HEPA filter, but it works beautifully!  I actually cannot wait to get up tomorrow so that it may work it’s magic upon my living room floor.  Yeah, I’m sick. :-)

Sami hung out with Max today.  I drove for the first time in four days.    Tomorrow, I clean.  (and maybe go shoot a few rounds with Dad, if I feel well enough to brave the chill).  Things are getting back to normal…  one step at a time.
So I’m trying to decide….    How do I want to redecorate the bathroom when it’s finished?  Hello Kitty,   Funky Penguin Party, Soothing Asian Theme, Pretty Black and White flowers, Elegant Shimmery Red, Funky Bright Fuschia, Soothing Blue Stripes, Elegant Black and Charcoal, Cool Squares, or the Blue version of the Super Cool ‘Hookless’ ?

The Girl Behind the Lens

I am a road tripping camera junkie trying to break free of the 9-5 work-week.

I am also a single mother to a teenage daughter who is trying to break free of me.

.... somehow, I don't think either of us will escape unscathed.
