Running Out of Words

Writing by jennifer on Sunday, 2 of March , 2008 at 1:30 am

Everytime I think I’ve settled upon something productive to do, I find something here or there that excites me and distracts me from my main objective.  Be it weather or books…   yarn or dishwashing…  everytime I think I’m going to start acting like a grownup and face my domestic responsibilities,  I always stray from the task.  I’m the poster child for ‘responsibility ADD’.

This just caught my eye.   I’d seen signs advertising the exhibit while I was visiting San Francisco, but had forgotten about it until now.   Annie Leibovitz has always been one of my favorite photographers.  I’d love to see this.   (Hey, Scott.   It runs until the end of May.  We could both make our debut visit the Legion of Honor.  Are you game? :-)   )

Son of Liberty

Writing by jennifer on Wednesday, 25 of July , 2007 at 11:44 pm

On the way to Seattle, we met a rather interesting gentleman at one of the I-5 rest stops.   His name is Ray Brown and he is a school teacher who provides informative presentations on American history when outside the confines of his classroom.   When we met Ray on this particular day, he was handing out copies of the Bill or Rights and instructing passerby about the history of the American flag.

He was entertaining and engaging…    Personally, if he’s that good in the July heat (and in costume), I can only imagine how much his students must enjoy his presentations!

The Girl Behind the Lens

I am a road tripping camera junkie trying to break free of the 9-5 work-week.

I am also a single mother to a teenage daughter who is trying to break free of me.

.... somehow, I don't think either of us will escape unscathed.
